How to Pick a Paint and Other Homeowner Tales

Scope of the Work

A first-time homeowner decided that she wanted to make her space her own. Easiest way to do that? Fresh paint, new tile, and updated light fixtures, among other things. We took this older Rio Rancho home, and gave it new life.

Our Pros painted the entire interior the same light gray color with a white trim. As you can see, it seriously plays up the natural lighting in the house, making the whole space super bright without being an average white.

We played up a couple of the home’s unique features as well. We refurbished the ceiling beams in the living area, keeping with the home’s already-there New Mexico charm. Then, one of our Pro Partners added natural stone to the fireplace, giving it a comfier vibe. Note how nicely the hearth goes with the paint color!

Additionally, we laid new tile throughout the home. Above, you can see one of the Pros putting the final touches with some tile sealant to ensure the floor stays cleaner and newer for longer.

Finally, to add to the natural lighting in the house, we took out the old light fixtures and added new ones. The modern lights give the home a modern look.
